Five luxury ski chalets to visit in Europe
26 August 2015
With its world-beating conditions and facilities, Europe is a fantastic choice for a skiing holiday; add in high-end accommodation (think hot tubs, roaring log fires, bubbling flutes of champagne) and you’ve got yourself a truly memorable escape to the snow. Travel operator Scott Dunn has 27 luxurious ski chalets in a variety of different shapes and sizes, situated in Val d’Isère, Courchevel 1850 and Courchevel 1550 in France, and St Anton in Austria. Here we profile five of them, and take a look at what you can expect during your stay.
Chalet Artemis is a striking quasi-hexagonal chalet in St Anton, spread over four floors and 500 square metres, and with six bedrooms (all wired for sound and vision) and six bathrooms. This is Scott Dunn’s flagship chalet, and as such it boasts a private cinema, indoor pool, massage room, hot tub, sauna and rooftop balcony.
Exclusively operated by the Scott Dunn team in Val d’Isère, Chalet Husky is a brand new flagship chalet that raises the bar to a new level for luxury catered accommodation on the slopes. At over 600 square metres in size, Chalet Husky sleeps 14 people, and has a fabulous wellness area, large pool and indoor climbing wall.
A fantastic chalet located in the exclusive Le Petit Alaska residence in the world-class resort of Val d’Isère, Chalet Amourette offers breathtaking views, spacious accommodation (sleeping six plus three) and an outdoor hot tub – a superb option for a special ski break.
Chinchilla is a fabulous luxury catered chalet with a more-or-less ski-in/ski-out location in the heart of Courchevel 1850, just metres from the Cospillot piste. It’s an ideal retreat for a family ski holiday in the Trois Vallées, with accommodation for up to eight people.
Chalet Le R
A stunning contemporary chalet in Courchevel 1550, and new to the Scott Dunn collection, Chalet Le R is a beautiful alpine retreat with a swimming pool, hot tub and sauna. Sleeping eight plus four people, this is ideal family skiing holiday accommodation in the Three Valleys.
