No Lights No Lycra Weekly Dance Session
February 15, 2017 @ 8:00 pm - February 23, 2018 @ 9:00 pm
No Lights No Lycra is a fitness concept with the belief that everyone can dance. Once a week for an hour, a dance session is held in a dimly-lit room, allowing people to come along and dance for exercise or just for fun, in a non-judgemental atmosphere. There’s no lights, no teachers, no steps to learns, no techniques, just free movement. It’s a place where you can shake out the stresses of the week in a friendly, non-threatening, drug-and-alcohol-free atmosphere. No Lights No Lycra is held weekly at the Sai Ying Pun Community Complex at 8pm.
No Lights No Lycra Hong Kong is part of a global community of people who like to have a boogie. It is a space where you can completely let go, shake out the stresses of the week, and lose yourself in the music and the physicality of your body. Its ethos is it not about technique or being a ‘good’ dancer, but about the experience of dancing with no one watching and the joy that this brings. It allows people to exercise at their own pace while having fun and promotes a healthy mind and body. It is open to all ages, genders, backgrounds and demographics.
